A smart module for sensor connection and smart automation
The Pill by Shelly is a compact smart module that allows you to connect external sensors and low-voltage peripherals to your smart home system and use them for monitoring, control and advanced automation. The module supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and, once connected to compatible DS18B20 or DHT22 sensors, allows you to monitor, for example, the temperature and humidity in your home, greenhouse, aquarium, swimming pool, boiler or water tank. The Pill by Shelly supports up to five DS18B20 temperature sensors or one DHT22 sensor and offers up to three configurable digital inputs or outputs at a logic level. With optional accessories, you can further expand its capabilities to include, for example, analogue DC voltage measurement up to 30V or switching of two DC loads up to 30V/300mA, making it useful for monitoring batteries, UPSs or your own automation projects. The Pill by Shelly smart module can also act as a Bluetooth gateway for Shelly BLU devices and, thanks to its support for MQTT, webhooks, scripting and virtual components, it can be easily integrated into more complex automations. You can monitor the measured data via the Shelly Smart Control app and use it, for example, to activate heating, ventilation, a pump or other follow-up actions.

The Pill by Shelly enables smart monitoring and automatic water temperature regulation
In conjunction with a compatible temperature sensor, you can use The Pill by Shelly module to accurately monitor the water temperature in an aquarium, swimming pool, boiler, water tank or other liquids, and check the measured values in real time via the Shelly Smart Control app. You can also use the data for smart automation – for example, when the temperature drops below a set value, a heater or pump can be automatically started and then turned off again once the desired temperature is reached.
Smart climate control at home and in the greenhouse
With The Pill by Shelly, in conjunction with compatible DS18B20 or DHT22 sensors, you can monitor the temperature and humidity in living spaces, offices or greenhouses and check the measured values in real time via the Shelly Smart Control app. You can also use the data to automatically control heating, air conditioning, thermostats, humidifiers or greenhouse ventilation according to current conditions.
A module for reliable monitoring of battery voltage and backup systems
Using the optional analogue add-on, you can monitor the voltage of batteries and other low-voltage sources in real time with The Pill by Shelly. The module allows you to monitor systems with different voltage levels, such as 3.7V, 4.2V, 12V or 24V, and you can monitor the measured data via the Shelly Smart Control app. This makes it easy to detect an undesirable drop or change in voltage and react in time before power supply problems occur.
The Pill by Shelly supports advanced automations through scripting
The Pill by Shelly smart module allows you to create automations tailored to the specific requirements of your home, business or personal project. With support for scripting, virtual components and configurable inputs and outputs, the module can be adapted to various sensors, peripherals and automation scenarios.
