The kettle makes a nice impression, but for the price I would expect more after some time of use. after 5 months the 100 degree button stopped lighting up, but for a change the 60 degree button started to light up nonstop and it was still lit up even after the base was put to sleep. This forced me to put it on the complaint and I doubt that someone has 2 kettles at home to have a replacement for a month, so either you last a month without a kettle or you are forced to buy another one. The steam leaks at the top right at the handle (I'm used to having my thumb on top of the handle and I always get scalded, it's probably just my grip problem, but for me the steam shouldn't leak anywhere. At 100 degrees it boils for a very long time, even after reaching 100 when the water is boiling it takes quite a long time to boil and turn off. For that price it is an overpriced piece that does not do anything much extra and I would not buy it again.

I've never invested much in kettles, the last one was from lidl for a couple hundred, so I'm a bit biased. The design is great, it's relatively quiet, it beeps when it's done, but it's not annoying or too loud at all. The controls are a little clumsy. When I select the temperature, it just flashes and I don't know if the water is heating up or not because there is no indication. I have to explain it to everyone who wants to use it. I think it could be better and especially for the price I would expect this to be perfectly tuned. It also has a shorter cable. I don't want to plug it in directly under the cabinets so the steam doesn't damage them, but the cord is very limiting.
