The product description is incomplete. We looked into whether it was dishwasher safe, which Alza does not state. On their website it says yes but after picking it up and unpacking it we found that the pictogram on the packaging clearly excludes this.
I was looking for an alternative to the classic cutting boards, because wooden ones can't be washed in the dishwasher, smell quickly and need regular care. Plastic scratches quickly, releases microplastics, curls in the dishwasher, stains and slides on the counter. The glass "cutting board" has many advantages (see pros). However, it's almost certain that he'll blunt the knives quickly. Moreover, slicing on it will probably be uncomfortable for a lot of people. It's like scratching a windowpane with a knife. But this is not a problem of the manufacturer, but of the product type. So I give it five stars.
