A smart light that gives you a short disco every time you turn it on. You flick the switch, the light comes on, acts normal for a moment, and then flashes furiously for a few seconds before settling down. It's not the installation (a standard light switch), it's not the Wi-Fi or the app (it flashed even with no internet at all, just with the remote), it's not a setting, and it's not a faulty unit – I have two of them and they both flash in unison. When using the remote, where the light stays powered, it's fine. It's bothered exclusively by having the power cut and then restored. Which is exactly what a wall switch does. The light itself is nice and it's easy to install. But if you want to turn it on with a standard switch, go for something else.
