I switched to the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max from a Xiaomi 12T and after more than a week of use, I'm very satisfied. The biggest surprise for me is the battery life. I use the phone quite intensively and have Bluetooth on practically all the time for my watch, headphones, and car, yet it lasts a really long time.
I'm also very happy with the display and the automatic brightness control. It's easy to read outdoors, and in the evening, the automatic adjustment along with the reading mode makes it pleasant to use. The camera takes beautifully detailed photos in normal use, but the quality isn't as good when you zoom in more.
The speed in everyday use is similar to my previous Xiaomi 12T, but the system feels smooth and is comfortable to use. The GPS was accurate during navigation, and I didn't notice any problems with Wi-Fi or mobile connection either.
I have a minor reservation about the built-in speakers, which I thought sounded a bit better on the 12T. On the other hand, using the same headphones, the music from the new phone sounds better. Overall, I'm very happy with the switch and would buy the phone again for the same price.
