The non-stick surface has not worked since the first day of use. Everything is constantly sticking to the surface. I was supposed to return it within two weeks, but I didn't. Now, after a year and a half, the black surface has started to peel off. I returned this grill on a claim but it was refused. I didn't use aggressive cleaners or harsh sponges. I used a regular Jar cleaner and a soft sponge. But no, it's still my fault. Very bad grill.

After the experience with the previous Xiaomi fryer with a malfunctioning encoder, I decided to go for the model with control via knobs.
Design and size: The size of the basket seems to be the same as the previous model, only it is higher, which is a pity. On the other hand, the fryer fits into the kitchen. The basket has handy paws that allow it to be held at different heights, which could be used for double-decker cooking. However, it is not clear whether this is the intention of the manufacturer.
Functions and controls: The heating speed is standard, as with the previous model. Unfortunately, the fryer lacks a heat light and thermostat, only an operation light, which is unnecessary because the fryer is noisy. The control knobs could be knurled for better rotation. The temperature and program length labels are difficult to read.
Basket and handling: Extending and retracting the basket is difficult, but I hope it will improve with time. Even if the basket is not fully inserted, the fryer will start, but it is only about 5 mm and no gap is created. The fryer could have better rubber feet for better stability.
Instructions: The instruction manual was not in English or in electronic form on the Alza website, which is a pity. However, there is a Czech manual available for download on the Czech manufacturer's website.
The smell: When the fryer was first started, there was a smell of plastic, but fortunately not from the basket, but from the electrical part.
Overall rating: Despite the shortcomings I would rate the fryer with 3-4 stars out of 5. For the price it is an acceptable product.
