A long time ago, I used a Radeon RX 470 and since then I swore I would never buy an AMD GPU again. After what NVIDIA has done with the RTX 50xx series, the RX 90xx cards have become a very interesting alternative. I was upgrading from an RTX 3060 Ti 8GB to be able to play smoothly at 1440p. I was worried about giving up the convenience of the NVIDIA ecosystem that I was used to. However, AMD has made incredible progress in both hardware and software over the last few years. I was most surprised by the quality of AMD Adrenalin.
The card itself is truly massive, 35.5cm long and takes up 4 slots. When overclocked, it has a maximum power draw of 335W. After 7 months of use, I wouldn't choose any differently and I know I didn't make a mistake switching to AMD.
16 GB VRAM
Stable 60+ FPS at 1440p without using FSR Frame Generation
Much better price/performance ratio than the RTX 5070 or RTX 5070 Ti
At >90% load, the average temperature stays around 63°C with the default fan speed curve settings.
Minimal coil whine (inaudible with headphones on).
The option to print your own fans on a 3D printer.
The user interface of the AMD Adrenalin software is clearer and more convenient compared to the NVIDIA App
Ray Tracing still isn't on the level of RTX cards
The supplied GPU holder has a poorly designed height adjustment system and you have to faff about with it for a bit.
For the first week (January 2026) my system was very unstable (BSOD, occasional freezing, very frequent pixelation), but after reinstalling the drivers and updating Windows, it stopped.
This card is the best price/performance ratio for me at the current price. The only minus is the size, because 35cm is really big and it may not fit in everyone's closet anymore.
I will warn future owners who want to buy and have a mATX board - the gpu cooler will push on the power /reset/ audio /rgb jumpers. Asus TUF B650M-E WiFi
Overall a great card, Ray tracing performance finally at a solid level. Path tracing is unfortunately worse, but I personally don't enjoy it. Probably the biggest problem I have is the price, where I would like a price tag of around 16k. I don't have any problems with the drivers and all the games I play go without any problems. I'd recommend it to anyone who primarily plays and doesn't want to pay a few thousand extra for a 5070.

Cooling
Nothing. Things like power consumption don't make sense to me with a graphics card (when it's well cooled. )
Combined with 5700x at 1440p most games at 180fps ultra details. Personally, the 750 gold power supply from seasonic was enough for me.
