I purchased the drive for my home NAS as a replacement for an older and smaller WD drive. The first hitch was during mounting, as the DC series does not have a middle pair of threads for screws and in some cases the drive cannot be mounted tightly enough. The second negative is the noise level. In idle, it emits a slight constant noise of high frequency, which may not bother some people, but it does. When reading/writing, on the other hand, the speech is very coarse and loud, the vibrations are very noticeably transmitted to the outside. The advantage of the disk is decent speed and capacity. Despite the tempting price, it is simply not suitable for home use, it belongs in a datacenter.
