If the device fails, you will lose data, even if the drives are perfectly fine. The disks do not report after being inserted into the PC, they need to be initialized and formatted. Only then can they be used. The device itself (" cabinet" ) cannot be purchased without disks. Data protection when setting up Raid1 is thus completely illusory. A very ill-conceived device.

nothing yet, I have a third piece replaced and I' m still not working.
RAID1 does not work on MACOS. Due to the capacity of the disk, it is RAID1 as the reason to buy such a large and expensive disk.
I already have a third piece replaced and I' m still not working. Data is uploaded for 6 days. The complaint lasts 20 days, so I' m already configuring and recording the disc for the second month and I' m still not working. It' s misery for that money.
WD should supply a quality product or not sell it.
