I've always been a fan of the Leatherman brand (I've had the Wave plus and the Charge TTi plus), but I ended up switching to this and have absolutely no regrets. For me personally, it's much more useful, as long as I'm not worried about the weight and don't need to quickly open tools with one hand (that's where Leatherman obviously scores points). When comparing them, the Victorinox is a class above in terms of overall build quality and the quality of its tools. Opening the individual tools is a completely smooth action, and they click precisely into their locked position or back again. The pliers are much more solid and robust compared to the Leatherman's, and can handle tougher jobs. In general, the whole construction feels a lot sturdier. A big plus is the ratchet with standard bits, which can be easily bought separately. The only minor thing I'm not a complete fan of is the design of the cutting jaws, which have two separate holes. The first one is supposedly for soft wires up to 40 HRC, the second for harder ones. It's difficult to keep an eye on which hole the wire has fallen into or to have to think about how hard the wire you're actually cutting is. They should have just kept the classic longer surface for common wires and just one hole at the back for hard wires.
