As a cameraman – currently working mainly on weddings – I usually use V-mount batteries because they’re absolutely reliable; but for recharging in my bag, a standard one will do, and this one pretty much meets my needs; one of these power banks can recharge the 17Wh battery for my camera six times, so the capacity matches the stated capacity. I also use it now and then to charge my phone, drone and the camera’s external cooler. The top-facing ports are a bonus; it’s just a shame there’s only one USB-C port, which I consider standard these days. It’s a bit of a shame that when all USB ports are in use, it’s limited to 15W – so about 5W per port – but if you only use the USB-C port, it can deliver up to 22W. At the price I bought it for – 479 – it’s definitely worth it; at the standard price of 799, I probably wouldn’t have bought it. The Vmount version, with a capacity of 99Wh, costs 4000. Here I’ve got 111Wh for a tenth of the price, which is brilliant; I’ll see how it holds up over time. So far, it’s been through three shoots and I’m happy with it.
