According to the picture I expected the device to be much bigger, but it's just a small box that you can slide anywhere under the table. (The device box was quite large, but only because of all the included cables. ) It works without the included adapter, maybe it is needed for some usage scenarios, but I didn't read the instructions - it wasn't needed. I have 1 NTB connected directly to the other via the docking station. Everything works as it should.
