I have read reviews on here about the baskets rusting, to my query I got the answer from the manufacturer that if someone's baskets are rusting it is through improper use. I believed such a statement and bought the fryer, however, after a short time of use, traces of rust do appear on the baskets and it is 100% not due to improper use. The second major thing is the control of the fryer, it's really awful. We're quite technically proficient, but every turn on is a brain warm-up. We let our grandmother turn on the fryer and it failed after 15 minutes. Otherwise, the fryer had potential with its capabilities, but these two things spoil the overall impression.
