Wider rather than taller. It presses with precision - I didn't believe it because of the lid, which normally wiggles when you turn it and there is a surprising clearance between it and the bottom part, regardless of the seal. After warming up, everything seals up and nothing, not even a hint, is leaking.
If all the plastic parts last, I am maximally satisfied with the purchase.
Overall "sophisticated" design and ease of use
although only a relative disadvantage, but you need to think about changing the seals (supposedly only once a year)
