As the owner of a Sony Alpha A7 III mirrorless camera, I am thrilled with this lens. A second version of the waterproof/weatherproof lens can be obtained for a very reasonable price. It's just that this update might not be so closely tied to an application that I, as a Linux user, don't run on my OS. However, the lens's drawing and performance is excellent, it weighs little and is therefore ideal for travel.
