The case protects the iPad well, I definitely recommend it over cheaper options. There is no need to worry about charging the pencil, the pencil has contact directly with the tablet. The display cover could be designed in an origami style to allow the tablet to stand upright. In hot weather there could be a problem with heating, but I have not tested it yet.
