I use the camera mainly for travel and family photos. I wanted something compact that would have better output than a phone, and the ZV1 II delivers.
Shooting and shooting video is about 50/50 for us, and I'm surprised what you get out of such a small compact if you play around with the post-processing a bit. On the other hand, when the kids or grandparents use the camera, I set it to auto or some preset filter and I can be almost sure that what it shoots will be good.
The ergonomics of the smaller body may not suit everyone, we found the Sony grip (GPVPT2) very helpful.
