Sony is just Sony. Even though it is a soundbar, the 7.1.2 effect is fantastic. There is no better choice for a 40-50m2 space. Installation and "recovery" completely intuitive, even a beginner can handle it

I don't know where Sony jacked up the price, but I wouldn't pay more than 15k for it. Returned. Whoever bought it for 40, I don't get it. The Samsung Q990C is the killer of all high end soundbars with quality and most importantly price (quality equal to Sonos with bass and additional rear speakers) coming out at least half as good as the competition. In the case of Sony, even more so. The music is poor on this, lacking an equalizer for customization. Bass has no depth, you need to buy a sub and possibly a rear speaker, but then we are talking about a 60k+ setup. Samsung offers this for 24k all in one (Q990C) and better. For movies and classic TV, it's otherwise pretty good, but the music really sucks and that's one of the reasons I'm returning it even at the 21k price. And I have a Sony TV. Price should be max 40k with sw5 sub and atmos rear speakers. (Pictured here is a tiny Audio Pro C3, which is better for music than a whole 40k soundbar: )

The fact that this is supposed to be a premium Soundbar without rear boxes and an additional Sub is not worth thinking about at all
Subjectively, ARC plays much better and I was even surprised that Homepods connected in stereo also play much better (btw. With the HT-A7000, you still have a very distinct feeling that the sound is coming from one point.
