At this price tag, there's not much to fault it, but it's a rather inferior (or if you want a below average) lens in the sony range. It's good for shooting distant static subjects, and thanks to stabilization, you can tolerate the fact that f6.3 at zoom is really a very dark lens, which generates higher ISO or shorter shutter speeds. As an additional lens it is great, it does a great job on sunny days, but it is definitely not suitable as a primary lens. If one wants a more reliable telephoto lens for shooting running game, flying birds, then a brighter lens is needed, something with a larger lens than 49mm. But that's when we start to move into price tags many times bigger and this is what needs to be looked at. However, it is also worth considering in this case whether such a cheap, high-performance lens is necessary at all. Personally, I would prefer a compromise with a fixed focal length, for example 135mm and f1.8 aperture, but they are not made for APSC and they cost a lot of money. njn. man is still trapped: -) terrible hobby this.
