I bought this reducer, I was told 0% complaints, it is a very simple device. Unpacking, checking how to connect USB3 correctly - one PIN in one corner is missing, so quite easy, plus there is a groove on one side so it should not be wrong, the pins in the reduction are straight, no bent, so OK. I'm plugging it in, but it's a little hard, I think I'd better check it, so that maybe the pins don't get crooked. I disconnect, the 3 pins in the middle were about 1/3 into the reducer, and the outermost pin about 3/4 of the way in. I tried to pull it out with tweezers but to no avail.
Pay a few more crowns and buy a reducer from Akasa (or another) - I unpacked, nice blue connector that doesn't look like the worst china, and very easy to plug in, no pressure, it clicked in nicely, no problem, works.
