Truly hassle-free rice cooking. The rice tasted brilliant. When the ‘rice’ mode is selected, it does not show how long the rice will take to cook. Once the audible signal is heard, the appliance automatically switches to the temperature-maintaining mode. You need to keep an eye on the porridge, otherwise it will burn. An absurd preparation time of an hour and a half. Steaming works a treat. I tried some gyoza dumplings, and they were perfect. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a handy kitchen aid.

Unlike with ordinary rice cookers, nothing splatters anywhere whilst it’s cooking. On the other hand, I find it a shame there’s no drip tray, as water can run down to the lid hinge when the lid is opened. The cooking process is awkwardly displayed on the screen, appearing as a line running along the edge of the screen. The value for money is adequate.
