I don't think that the fryer would be somehow poor in quality, I have a kettle from the same brand and it is perfect, but I was just unlucky, maybe I shouldn't have saved 250 CZK and bought a new machine. Although again, this was not the first "unboxed" product from Alza that I have purchased. And there were no other problems, the device looked unused after purchase.
