They have a developed sound, maybe with slightly more pronounced bass but otherwise neutral. The cables do not get tangled, only as these headphones wrap around the ears they sometimes catch on themselves. The cold is not good for the cable and it stiffens up a lot, there is probably a risk of breaking if you try. I've had them for about two years and the cable still holds and he's fine. You have to get used to the wrapping around the ears, but once you learn the grip, then it goes by itself. The fact that they have a replaceable cable is probably a big plus. You can also get a microphone for them.
