I'm switching from a Samsung S23 Ultra, which I was extremely satisfied with. I liked the size and the performance, which it had in spades, and the S Pen, which I hope I won't miss. The new Samsung Z Fold 8 has a size I'm still getting used to. As for the camera setup, it's noticeably poorer. I used the telephoto lens on the Ultra, but the 10x one only occasionally. I used the 3x 12MP one regularly, despite its shortcomings and worse f/2.4 aperture. So far, I've made do with the digital zoom on the Z Fold 8. For filming, I use the wide-angle format a lot, which is better quality than on my previous phone. The resolution of the main rear camera is weaker at 50MP compared to 200MP. The photos I've taken so far are adequate; they don't reach the same quality as my previous phone model, but as a work tool that slips into my pocket when folded and turns into a work tablet when needed, it's suitable for my purposes.

I've been using the Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 for a few days now and I must say, this is the first time I feel a folding phone really makes sense. Not as a gimmick, but as a device that actually improves my daily life. The new “passport” shape is exactly what the Fold needed. Finally, the closed display isn't as narrow as a cinema ticket. You can type on it normally, read messages, deal with e-mails and quickly look something up. It feels more natural in the hand and isn't the brick that older generations were. The open display is a joy. When I lie down in the evening and watch a video, read articles or get some work done, that big panel is simply addictive. The crease is less visible than before — it’s still there, but it doesn't bother me at all anymore. The phone is extremely fast. Whether I'm switching between apps, playing games or have several windows open at once, nothing lags. The Fold 8 feels like it has more power than I could ever use. The battery life. Samsung pleasantly surprised me here. The Fold 8 lasts a full day without any stress, even when I'm using the large display. With older Folds, I was used to carrying a power bank — I don't need one here. The Samsung Galaxy Fold 8 is the first Fold that feels truly “finished”. It's practical, fast, a pleasure to use, and gives me something a classic phone can't — a big display whenever I want it. It's not perfect, but it's the best folding phone I've held in my hands so far.

I switched to the Galaxy Z Fold8 from a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. I got used to both displays very quickly and they make using the phone more comfortable. I do miss the S Pen, which I was used to from my previous phone. Otherwise, the phone is easy to operate even with one hand. It's fast, responds snappily, and I like the wider outer display when the phone is closed.

I've had the phone for about 2 weeks, and as someone who works a lot with AI tools and also trades on the stock market, this phone is, after an extremely long time, absolutely fantastic. Its versatility is perfect, the speed hasn't disappointed so far, and the battery life of 1.5 days when unfolded is absolutely excellent (we all charge our phones overnight anyway). I'm genuinely thrilled and if Samsung were to also adjust the padding, I think the phone would climb to the top in many markets.
Comfortable size in the hand
Good battery life
Very sharp picture and excellent brightness even in sunny weather.
I was worried about the opening mechanism, but the option to split the screen for two or more apps is divine.
Charging speed
The phone is extremely pleasantly thin when unfolded
A poorly made Android for this type of phone, and you need to use other tools to make it more comfortable to use.
Unnecessarily large padding on a small screen which you can't get rid of, you can only reduce it by half, but even that is a crazy amount of space.
The camera lenses stick out, and when you put a screen protector on them, it turns your phone into a 1cm diagonal seesaw.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 takes the foldable phone category a step further, bringing great improvements. I particularly appreciate the smooth operation of the entire system, the more durable construction and the superb internal panel, which is a joy to watch multimedia content on or to comfortably edit work documents. In addition, the new Galaxy AI artificial intelligence features are a great bonus that really makes my daily use easier. In most respects, the phone has met my high expectations and the investment was definitely worth it. I recommend it to anyone looking for a two-in-one device.

I'm absolutely thrilled with my new phone. It works quickly. The requested actions appear almost instantly. Multitasking is a great thing, it works brilliantly on the phone, I'll use it for streams and other activities. The picture, colours and photos look perfect. It's smaller and wider, and after getting used to it, it's easy to work with, feels nice in the hand and isn't slippery. It paired with the accessories well and intuitively. Altogether it works as a great package. I'm satisfied with the phone and would definitely recommend it.
Quick
It paired perfectly with the accessories.
Beautiful picture, colours and photos
It's nice to hold and doesn't slip.
Luxury design
The battery doesn't last that long with active use.

Design, build quality (if I don't count the rear lenses)
the screen's colour reproduction (it’s not the best you can get these days but it’s still pretty decent)
modes and routines (hats off and credit to everyone who came up with and designed it)
The battery life and charging speed are quite a lot above average.
form effect (at least for me)
Thin
It did the impossible and revived my desire to play Clash of Clans again after about a 2-year break.
All the negatives are somehow related to the user interface and the ease of use of the phone, which could have been solved much more cleverly and user-friendly, but it's not even worth mentioning here, hopefully any future updates will sort it out.
Android can't play two audio tracks at once, which means that in split-screen apps (multitasking in windows on the large display), you can't run two videos; only one will ever play, the other will pause.

After ten years, I've switched back to Android from iOS and I'm honestly surprised by how far the Android world has come in that time. In some respects, compared to iOS, I even feel like I've landed in a different century. The Gemini integration is something that continues to fascinate me. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is exactly the device I've been missing for a long time. It's not too small, nor is it unnecessarily large, and I finally find the format of the inner display to be absolutely ideal for everyday use. As long as you use the phone with both hands, you'll be happy. The challenge comes when you need to type one-handed. Unfortunately, the Samsung keyboard doesn't offer a simple gesture to shrink and move the keyboard to the left or right side, which for me is quite a significant drawback. I solved this by switching to Gboard, which does offer this option. The camera certainly isn't bad and the phone takes very decent photos. However, coming from an iPhone 15 Pro, I can't shake the feeling that I have to intervene more often to get the final result – for example, adjusting the exposure compensation to make the photo look the way I want. With the iPhone, I was more used to just pulling out the phone, taking a picture, and not having to worry about anything else. The speakers are the phone's weak point, in my opinion. When unfolded, the sound only comes from one half of the device, and even when folded, it's not exactly a breathtaking experience. I think Apple does this better. On the other hand, the flexible construction and the hinge feel very robust and you can tell a really solid piece of work has gone into them. The crease where the display folds is minimal. Immediately after unfolding, you can see and feel it for a short while, but after a few minutes, the display flattens out nicely and I practically stop noticing it during use. Given the phone's design, I'm naturally a little wary of dust and potential damage to the hinge, but so far it definitely doesn't feel flimsy or fragile. Of course, its actual long-term durability can only be judged after a longer period of use. Overall, the Fold 8 has very pleasantly surprised me. After ten years with iPhones, I expected that returning to Android would mainly involve a lot of getting used to things and making compromises. So far, I have more of the opposite feeling – I'm discovering features and possibilities that I've actually been missing on iOS for a long time.

A perfect foldable phone for me. When folded, it's compact and fits comfortably in my pocket, and when unfolded, it provides enough space for 2–3 windows for parallel work, or for comfortable reading/gaming. After my previous experience with the Flip5, I particularly appreciate the full-featured front display, so now I only open the phone when I really need to, not every single time I use it. Unfortunately, all of this is reflected in the price, but if you can come to terms with it, it's worth it.
The front display is perfectly sufficient for "standard" use of the phone.
Inner display for work/reading/gaming (tasks better suited for a tablet)
The option to set a different home screen for each display.
The construction feels sturdy enough, even with its low weight and thin profile.
Samsung interface without a lot of unnecessary fluff.
Fast, doesn't freeze (the expected standard in this price category)

I switched from an iPhone Air, and the multitasking on Android, and specifically on the Fold, is a huge plus. I use it as my personal and work device.
Better battery life compared to the previous model
Excellent aspect ratio, it’s so easy to hold and can be used with one hand.
Multitasking bestie
The openness of Android
Lots of settings and options to customise the phone.
I'd appreciate a better zoom on the camera
Some applications are poorly optimised.
I'm still getting used to the shape, although it's comfortable to hold.
