I'm absolutely thrilled with my new phone. It works quickly. The requested actions appear almost instantly. Multitasking is a great thing, it works brilliantly on the phone, I'll use it for streams and other activities. The picture, colours and photos look perfect. It's smaller and wider, and after getting used to it, it's easy to work with, feels nice in the hand and isn't slippery. It paired with the accessories well and intuitively. Altogether it works as a great package. I'm satisfied with the phone and would definitely recommend it.

It's nice to hold and doesn't slip.
Luxury design
The battery doesn't last that long with active use.

After ten years, I've switched back to Android from iOS and I'm honestly surprised by how far the Android world has come in that time. In some respects, compared to iOS, I even feel like I've landed in a different century. The Gemini integration is something that continues to fascinate me.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is exactly the device I've been missing for a long time. It's not too small, nor is it unnecessarily large, and I finally find the format of the inner display to be absolutely ideal for everyday use. As long as you use the phone with both hands, you'll be happy. The challenge comes when you need to type one-handed. Unfortunately, the Samsung keyboard doesn't offer a simple gesture to shrink and move the keyboard to the left or right side, which for me is quite a significant drawback. I solved this by switching to Gboard, which does offer this option.
The camera certainly isn't bad and the phone takes very decent photos. However, coming from an iPhone 15 Pro, I can't shake the feeling that I have to intervene more often to get the final result – for example, adjusting the exposure compensation to make the photo look the way I want. With the iPhone, I was more used to just pulling out the phone, taking a picture, and not having to worry about anything else.
The speakers are the phone's weak point, in my opinion. When unfolded, the sound only comes from one half of the device, and even when folded, it's not exactly a breathtaking experience. I think Apple does this better.
On the other hand, the flexible construction and the hinge feel very robust and you can tell a really solid piece of work has gone into them. The crease where the display folds is minimal. Immediately after unfolding, you can see and feel it for a short while, but after a few minutes, the display flattens out nicely and I practically stop noticing it during use.
Given the phone's design, I'm naturally a little wary of dust and potential damage to the hinge, but so far it definitely doesn't feel flimsy or fragile. Of course, its actual long-term durability can only be judged after a longer period of use.
Overall, the Fold 8 has very pleasantly surprised me. After ten years with iPhones, I expected that returning to Android would mainly involve a lot of getting used to things and making compromises. So far, I have more of the opposite feeling – I'm discovering features and possibilities that I've actually been missing on iOS for a long time.

A perfect foldable phone for me. When folded, it's compact and fits comfortably in my pocket, and when unfolded, it provides enough space for 2–3 windows for parallel work, or for comfortable reading/gaming. After my previous experience with the Flip5, I particularly appreciate the full-featured front display, so now I only open the phone when I really need to, not every single time I use it. Unfortunately, all of this is reflected in the price, but if you can come to terms with it, it's worth it.
The front display is perfectly sufficient for "standard" use of the phone.
Inner display for work/reading/gaming (tasks better suited for a tablet)
The option to set a different home screen for each display.
The construction feels sturdy enough, even with its low weight and thin profile.
Samsung interface without a lot of unnecessary fluff.
Fast, doesn't freeze (the expected standard in this price category)

I can handle most of the tasks for my job that I need to sort out on the go on the large display of the unfolded phone, so I don't have to boot up my laptop, which I hardly carry with me anymore. It's bigger than the Flip, but it still fits in my trouser pocket.
Large front display, meaning I can handle most operations with emails, WhatsApp and quick web previews without opening the phone.
Large storage space.
High performance, everything launches very quickly.
The price, however, corresponds to its utility value.
The original packaging/case only covers the back of the phone.

The phone met all the expectations based on the reviews available online. The cameras aren't as bad as the reviewers make them out to be. Yes, they are worse in less-than-ideal lighting conditions, but for normal use and non-professional photos, they are more than sufficient. The phone itself is quite slippery, but with a silicone case, it's perfectly fine to handle even with one hand. I had to buy a new wireless charger, because my 4-year-old original Samsung one wasn't able to charge the phone quietly and quickly, plus the phone was overheating extremely despite being positioned correctly. The new charger (a puck-style one) no longer has this problem.
great display
Wider format
battery life
weight
The wireless charger has to be the right size.
Unstable due to the camera bump, which isn't fully resolved even with a case, both when folded and unfolded.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 phone arrived in a neat little box. Inside was just the phone, a cable and the necessary documents. Both the outer and inner displays were covered with an opaque film.
A review by Miroslav Nezbeda.
- A quality piece of kit, including the hinge, which is sturdy
- A slightly smaller crease on the inner display
- The dimensions are nice for me, although they're a bit odd
- Doesn't heat up
- Beautifully thin phone
- The edges of the display could be significantly thinner
- No telephoto lens

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 was a really pleasant surprise. Compared to the previous generation, it's lighter, thinner and much more comfortable for everyday use. The large internal display is great for work, watching videos and multitasking. The phone feels premium, is very fast and the camera is more than adequate (I had a 200Mpx on the S25 Ultra and didn't use it anyway). The price is a bit high, but if you want a smaller and more compact phone, the Fold8 is definitely worth considering.
Small (it doesn't stick out in your pocket) and at the same time large when unfolded.
Fingerprint sensor right on the power button.
When unfolded, the speakers are only on the left side.
I sometimes struggle to find the power button, as it's almost flush with the phone's frame.

An excellent compromise for people who want a folding phone but also want something that fits comfortably in their pocket. Unlike the Flips, the front screen is more than sufficient for the most common tasks, and the inner screen is perfect for watching media and multitasking. It's a bit of a struggle at first until you get everything set up to your liking. You have to look for some intuitive features in the settings, but so far I haven't found anything that's outright impossible. I still wish the new Folds supported the S-Pen, and also, when unfolded, the audio is noticeably louder from the left side, which can only be solved with headphones. However, I was very surprised by the battery life, which has been improving since day one as it gets used to my usage style. I highly recommend it to all gadget lovers who mostly read, watch videos, and occasionally multitask. For keen photographers, it would be better to go the Ultra route.
Compact size
The battery life has only improved since the beginning.
Wide range of applications
Image quality
Ideal for watching media and reading
A bit more complex, but the user interface is very customisable.
Multitasking with up to 3 apps at once
Thanks to the binding and format, I enjoy reading on my mobile more.
Speakers on one side when opened.
Worse support for wireless chargers.
It takes a little while to get everything set up just how you like it.

The most comfortable phone to hold in your hand
The brightness of both screens is brilliant.
The slimness of the phone is admirable, yet at the same time it isn't "too thin".
Light
The processor and memory certainly won't disappoint.
Doesn't overheat (which you might expect given its power and thinness)
One UI has come a long way in the last decade, data migration is really easy.
The internal display doesn't feel cheap to the touch
Of course, you're taking a bit of a risk in terms of how long/what it will last.
Base price (the price can be brought down nicely with discounts and trade-ins)
