Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra review - Jump to another league
After a few years with the compact Galaxy S10e, I've switched to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and I have to say that this phone is in a whole different league. The very first time I grabbed it, I realized how small my old phone now feels. Design and control
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is large, but the thin bezels and rounded edges make it comfortable to hold. The S Pen is a great accessory - it's intuitive to use and I got used to it quickly. It's invaluable for note-taking or precise text selection. Switching from your old phone
Moving data and apps using Smart Swap (or whatever the feature is called) was smooth, but it's a little annoying that most apps require you to re-enter your login credentials after the first time you open them. While this is a common practice for safety reasons, it can still cause delays. Performance and smoothness
The phone is incredibly fast and smooth, which is a big difference from the S10e. It responds instantly to everything, whether it's multitasking, gaming or photo editing. The display is gorgeous, the colours are vivid and fine details come out to their full potential. Sound and accessories
Along with the phone, I got the Buds 3 Pro headphones and I have to say that they sound wonderful. They pair seamlessly with the phone and the sound output is clear, balanced with perfect bass. Biometric security - a little frustration
What has annoyed me a bit so far is the fingerprint recognition, especially when logging into banking. I'm not sure if the problem is the protective glass or if I'm not hitting the sensor correctly, but sometimes the system rejects me and I have to use a PIN. In normal use, I unlock my phone without any problems, but this is probably a combination with facial recognition, which unfortunately cannot be used for banking apps. Summary
Overall, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is a fantastic phone that has opened up new possibilities for me. The jump from the S10e to the S25 Ultra was huge and I had to relearn a few things, but the comfort, performance and functionality is definitely worth it. If you're looking for a top phone with a great display, a great S Pen, and quality sound, I definitely recommend it!
Big and beautiful display - great colours and fine details
Powerful and smooth - instant response, multitasking without glitches
S Pen - excellent control, precise text selection, comfortable writing
Quality sound - the perfect experience with Buds 3 Pro headphones
smooth transition from old phone - Smart Swap works well
Re-entering login credentials - after moving data, you must log in to applications again
Fingerprint recognition - sometimes doesn't work perfectly, especially for banking
I'm comparing it to the Note 10+ product I've been using so far. I find the look of a 5 year old tlf much more attractive. I also compared the speed of both phones and I have to say that as a non-gaming user, I can't tell the difference in speed. I will miss the flip case quite a bit, which was super functional and Samsung decided to discontinue. I think it's a great buy.
a camera that really rivals the apple
flat display without rounded edges (comparing with older model)
equipped with the latest technologies
Photo editing with AI
the price definitely corresponds to the quality
battery size margin (competitors are better)
the camera competes, but the execution is not even close. I would have expected a more interesting design for a flagship
I've only had it for a short time, so I haven't found out anything else yet
Overall, probably the best Android device on the market. It's not a flawless phone, but probably the best phone on the market without major compromises.
Photos at 50MPx can be taken on 3 lenses - awesome
Switching from the SGS10+ so I miss the 3.5mm jack and memory stick slot, even phones under 3k have it.
Photos in the base still binned to 12MPx I was hoping they would finally upgrade to 24MPx
I wanted to use the spen from time to time to take pictures unfortunately samsung said no. Btw how do they know that less than 1% of people used it if not everyone is sending diagnostic data?
I'm incredibly annoyed that it can't turn off the display on its own when closed in the case, I had a s22 ultra before with a smart view case where the clock on the cover was also displayed and the display turned off immediately
I've usually had cheaper samsungs, but this is in a different league. phone speed, great design, photos, display. Ultrafoun 😎
great phone, satisfaction
purchased for a super price on black friday

Thought between Pixel 10 Pro and this. Picked s25u due to bad reviews on p10p hw. Had to clean as much of samsung applications as I could, change them to normal ones and as a result... I have an almost pixel-like sw, but with hw from samsung. I wish I decided just to buy p10p and not spent time on this. Also the whole review is written from DeX. It is first and last time of using it, as well as it is first and last samsung phone for me.
It can make and receive calls
It can send and receive sms
Display can show some info
Bloated as hell with "samsung apps" (don't even have feature parity with google ones, which are pretty spartan).
Ugly UX with non-asked popups (e.g. when wifi/bt on), which you can't disable (despite the mans from inet, yes).
Meh-quality cameras. I mean, china phone has similar or better these times.
DeX works lousy, layout switch via physical keyboard seems an impossible function for samsung's professional scientists. Screen resolution is... in "granpa mode". Wanna have higher one - good luck with it.
Android auto can't catch from 1st time, had to repeat (pixel 7 works perfect in the same conditions)
Pushing of yet another account for... literally nothing but couple of low-quality themes from 90s (golden icons, wolves, shiny diamonds, u know). Ay yeh, you have to pay for this too.
Cameras are constructed really poorly, without proper case they're first to death
Also 2 keyboards included by default. Do wanna know use-cases and percentage of people, swapping kbs on a daily basis; probably more than users of wireless s-pen because =>
