I switched to the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE from one of its predecessors namely the S20 FE 5G which is still serving great, but Samsung has already discontinued its Android updates and so I would not be able to take advantage of the AI from Samsung and Google. Plus, it was on sale on Alza for the same price I got the S20 FE 5G for at the end of its sales cycle. The wow effect didn't happen, but I'm not disappointed with it and hopefully it will be as durable as previous Samsung models I've used. And as the AI features improve, I hope the wow effect will come with time.

Technically the camera should be very similar to the S20 FE I switched from, but the better display makes the photos look better. Plus, there's a higher photo resolution of up to 50MP and a host of AI gizmos and new modes. He's also more adept at taking pictures at night.
