The board stands firm and does not creak. It has a thick cover which is really easy to iron.
The board is much heavier than the previous one. I have to hold the legs of the board firmly when setting up the board before ironing to prevent them from falling apart - it happened to me that a little above the ground the board started to fall apart and the legs fell hard on the new floor + a blow to the neighbours one floor below. The old folding board didn't do that, there legs stayed level with the board until I squeezed the handle to build the height of the board.
