For the purpose of – a gentle breeze at night or whilst working at the computer = brilliant
When the device is switched off, the temperature is displayed in standby mode, so if I set it to night mode, where the display switches off, and then set a timer for, say, 2 hours, the display stays off; when the timer runs out, the display switches back on. I think it’s possible to switch it off completely, but then you don’t know what’s going on when you need to check it.
It’s noisy when it’s running – you definitely won’t want to sleep whilst it’s on
Once you’ve switched it off, you don’t want to have it near your head – it buzzes as long as it’s still live
