It took me a while to figure out that the pliers can lock in three positions. This allows a round cable to be inserted under the blade, locked in the first position and then turned with pliers or cable, thus stripping it. In the instructions it says to insert a round cable into the hole, which is not on the pliers. However, thanks to the locking, I think it will be equally possible to strip thinner cables (locking in the second or third position), which is nice. If the tongs had good instructions, I would give 5 stars.
