For a person who plays just to have the enjoyable feeling of discovering, catching Pokémon and creating Pokédex, there's an awful lot of story dialogue and a really awful lot of reading to know what's going on. This is neither a negative nor a positive, it's up to everyone's taste. The controls are a bit confusing, unintuitive and impossible to change, but you can survive and get used to it.
the world is very big (but it is opening up gradually)
there are tons of Pokémon, some of which you can ride, or swim, or fly
there's a bunch of side quests to do
creates a pokédex, collects information about the number of Pokémon caught, Pokémon seen (if you have a fight with it)
good game to relax when you don't want to think too much but have some progress or feel that you have somehow advanced in the story
the progression of the story is quite fast, there is a lot to do
no cut scenes, just clicking through dialogue, lots of dialogue
dead world, not that there aren't NPCs, they even give you quests, but they are static, standing still and have no life, no purpose other than to give you a side quest
the first hour of play is 40 minutes of dialogue and tutorial
the lack of dubbing spoils the experience of the dialogues a bit, apart from a few gestures and sounds of amazement the characters are mute
