Really good quality scanner. Excellent colour and resolution. Easy to use. Solid design. Nice bag for carrying and storage (against dust). The infrared channel works like a charm - without it, I would spend about a quarter of an hour retouching each photo, and this way, even with old films, everything is almost 100% clean.
The best quality is paid for by time - one box takes three minutes, and moving to the next is manual. Silverfast software is not only poor quality and crashes, it's also one of the ugliest software in the whole world. I certainly wouldn't buy a more expensive version with "better" software - it will be similar. I use with Vuescan, their Professional version costs L90 and is definitely worth it, when you are on the site for the first time (or delete cookies) they offer you a 10% discount.
