One head lasts about 3-4 months when used once a day. Towards the end you can already tell that the rubber is soft and after the change the difference is very noticeable, but I don't take that as a minus. On the other hand, the new toothbrush has a pretty firm eraser and anyone with a sensitive tongue may find it uncomfortable at first. It's individual and takes some trying, but I definitely recommend giving it a try.
