For me, a very big disappointment. We had toothbrushes almost 7 years old, also Philips Sonicare. I figured I'd pay extra and get "the best". Rather, it's a step (if not several steps) backwards from the "old" ones. The old ones had 3 diodes indicating battery charge. One knew at first glance. Nothing here. One diode. The old ones had mode switching. Nothing here. All through the app. Basic things like modes and battery I would like even without the app. As for the noise level, I wanted to change the brushes because the original ones seemed "already" noisy. Compared to these, they're quiet. The body of the toothbrush does not have a hole at the bottom, so it does not fit into the charging case that we have with the UV sanitiser. Charging case disaster. It opens in the bag when you run or put the bag on the ground. The head can only be there without the cover. Charging is also not indicated in any way. I would have expected a pointer as well. We are trying to give the brushes a chance, but the longer I use them, the more I "miss" the old quality ones. About the only plus is the heads, but they fit the old ones too, so I could have bought the heads and been happy. I don't even comment on the connections and cleaning indicators in the app. That doesn't work as much as it works. I'd like to switch modes, but the toothbrush won't connect.
perhaps the only plus are the heads, but they come separately on the older ones.
They look nice, but that's useless to me considering the cons: )
worse than 6 years old models
noisy compared to the old ones
no charge indicators
a useless case. Opens, no indication of toothbrush charge, head only without cover
I'm a bit disappointed that the OralB iO 10 is honestly a better equipped device and in some ways better thought out. I used to have a cheap OralB, but after that experience I chose Philips for two reasons: there are no stupid holes in the head of the toothbrush where saliva flows into and it can't be cleaned, and secondly because brushing is not just about physically scraping your teeth as I used to think. Philips suits me better.
I find sonic cleaning better than just "scraping" with OralB, and I honestly feel better about the cleaning.
BASIC: no holes in the brush head where saliva flows and stinks
On the outside, the toothbrush gives a better impression than the OralB iO 10
Background app sync. it doesn't sync, I don't know why. I have to do it by hand.
The app is pretty slow
Replacement heads are not cheap no
Compared to OralB iO 10 less equipped (display, clock puck)
Switching between modes requires an app
