after a few months, it stopped working. was claimed and after a month the same case
virtually inoperable on any file larger than 50GB. the disk is disconnected and the download is cancelled.
I bought it for 1000Kč and even at that price, it's useless.

If I wasn't technically proficient and also didn't consult the AI, I wouldn't be able to get the device to work. But once it's up and running, it works well.
value for money
must be formatted before use
I probably wouldn't carry it in a bag, it doesn't look sturdy - it's made of cheap plastic

I chose this external SSD (in 512 GB version, bought half a year ago for 1080 CZK) because I wanted a relatively cheap SSD, but at the same time to be able to disassemble it if necessary (replace it with another nvme SSD module or put the existing module in another frame or directly into the PC). That's why I bought this SSD despite the worse reviews. This frame uses the JMS583 chip, which is a 2018/2019 controller (6 years old! ). Whether this is a good choice everyone can now make for themselves. I will add that after about 40 GB of writing, the temperature of this chip (probably) rises so high that the writing speed drops to 66 MB/s (with occasional fluctuations to 200 MB/s - so let's say the resulting average is 100MB/s). If this controller is also in versions with 4 TB disk, then I wish you a lot of fun while waiting (4 TB will write at 100MB/s for about 11 hours). However, I was buying with the goal that I would have a secondary OS booted from the disk on the laptop so that the laptop's internal disk would not have to be interfered with at all. After half a year I can confirm that the drive fulfils this purpose perfectly - performance in normal use incl. installing games, etc., is identical to the performance of the integrated disk in the notebook (which is supposed to have up to 2000 MB/s). As for speed, I actually get 1000 MB/s on USB-C on my laptop. The manufacturer put the Patriot P300 module into the frame. The 512 GB version was sold half a year ago for 760 CZK, I paid 1080 CZK for this external drive. If we subtract the price of the module, the frame cost me 320 crowns. That's how much the cheapest (not much) models are sold for here at Alza. So I believe my purchase paid off (but only just). To the temperature, I will also point out that the SSD itself (according to HWInfo) goes to about 72 °c during a long write. When I point the fan at the SSD, the temperature drops to about 66 °C and stays there. But it doesn't help with speed - I guess the controller chip is actually overheating and not well connected to the metal body of the frame. A positive could be that if something dies, it will be the frame controller, not the SSD module. Edit: My theory with bad cooling was confirmed when I opened the disc - in the photos you can see the cooling strips after my modification - originally it was all one (! ) the tape is used on one of the 2 memory pins. All 3 other chips (the second memory. chip, the controller on the module and the aforementioned JMS583 ) had nothing. However, the situation with the speed dropping to about 100 MB/s after 40 GB of writing persisted. The other comment on the photos is that the frame is not completely disassembled - as you can see in the 3rd photo, both plastic beaks have broken off the small plastic piece. But you can also see that there are already holes for screws in the piece of plastic that holds the entire contents, the manufacturer just decided not to use them here (that's why the contents of the frame shake, as other reviews mention). I punched holes in the little piece of plastic and screwed in screws from an old Logitech mouse: D. Now the frame is as solid as ever, plus it's actually detachable, which is what I wanted.
Short term (40 GB of data) great write speed of 1 GB/s
Great performance when used as a system drive
In the event of controller death, the nvme module can be removed and used in another frame/directly on the baseboard
Badly disassembled - probably can't be done without breaking the beaks
Due to the attachment with beaks (and not screws), the inside of the frame shakes.
Not suitable for writing large amounts of data at once - it has an old JMS583 chip that starts to overheat and slows down to a measly 100 MB/s

fast disk
quality metal casing
the fixing of the disc in the case could be better - when the connector moves, the disc moves noticeably inside
