The lens is quite small for the FF and its range, the performance seems to be very good. Zooming is a bit more difficult than with other lenses I own, but it is still smooth. It's worse with focusing, the lens is not among the fastest and in lower light conditions it struggles to focus at all. Its sharpness isn't quite perfect either, but most of the time you just need to tilt it slightly. The lens aperture isn't great either, but I can imagine this lens at f2.8 weighing three pounds and costing more than the average person makes in a year. Most of the cons are a tax on versatility, I would just see the price ideally about 15% lower.
