The drip tray is fine and hopefully won't rust right away. The only minus is the inadequate size (and it's right on the product label, it's not Alza's fault). We use the plate under the drainer more for shoes, because we have another one that slopes into the sink and the water drains right away. The basket is otherwise quite low, but we manage to stack pots and pans in there. So for a smaller kitchen and fewer people, it's ok.
