I smoothed the surface, sanded the edge, and it works as a mouse pad to smooth out the bumps and bumps.
When I tried the Razer Synapse to calibrate the mouse to the surface, the Razer Synapse crashed without completing the calibration, but that's Razer.
The mouse has memory in it so I turned off the lights, saved the scripts and button settings to the mouse, deleted Razer Synapse and Windows, and I can finally use the mouse in a better environment than a paid professional in a research lab.

This "cork" pad is actually made of polyurethane
Both sides are smooth, so they don't stick to the table

I don't recommend it.
Nothing.
Coarser surface, therefore poorer mouse mobility on the pad.
