I bought the reader because it is one of the few that has the Android operating system, which is needed for borrowing e-books from libraries. It serves that purpose well, but where this product is a severe disappointment is the display and backlight. The color e-ink display on this one is significantly inferior to the black and white display on a much older reader of the same brand. The text of the e-books is made up of a visible raster, the backlighting is very uneven, and ghosts from the previous view remain on the new page when turning pages. I would expect a higher quality display for a reader in this price range.
The reader has Android so you can install your apps. We bought it because of the ability to borrow e-books from libraries through the Palmbooks app.
The design of the reader is nice and the reader feels good in the hand.
The Android operating system is quite fast, not as fast as on a mobile, but still perfectly usable.
The colour e-ink display is incomparably inferior to the black and white display. It's like going back 15 years to the first readers. While it's nice to see book covers in color, even black text is made up of visible raster and it's very unpleasant to read.
The reader has backlighting in the lower right and upper right corners and it's noticeably visible. The backlit corners shine more brightly and the more distant areas are darker. Overall, the display looks spotty.
The display does not blur easily and ghosts from previous views remain on the page.

A great reader that is not actually a reader but a full-fledged Android device. This implies the possibility of installing additional applications - personally I wanted to have all the books but also personal notes and documents in one place, and the possibility of installing the Obsidian application that I use on my PC and phone and its synchronization were for me a clear choice in addition to the qualities of the reader itself. The reader is nice, unfortunately it doesn't come with a Czech manual, I had to ask for one to be sent to me. Great satisfaction. The reader is not tightly tied to any store, allows you to sync books from any source (I use OneDrive), works well with PDFs too. I debated whether to buy the black and white or the color version - I don't regret buying the color version. The e-ink is good quality and the colors look good (saturation can't match the tablet, but that's a limitation of the technology). The Android environment is very well adapted to the reader and allows you to set almost everything in the UI (including what action the two hardware buttons will do - which can be customized for each app separately). You can install any android application, e.g. my own book reader (my favourite Moon+ Reader), audiobooks (Smart AudioBook Player, Audiotéka), android newspaper and magazine apps, web browser, youtubemusic, cloud services, file manager and that's it - I don't want to be disturbed by emails, social networks or other notifications.
