A great fan for the cabinet if you can fit it in. I lowered the speed by another third with a Noctua resistor and it is not audible at all. A draught in the closet will do nicely.
The wires at the terminals are not hidden in the whole cable (1-3mm), you can see the wire wrap, probably because of the handling to the terminals, but at first glance it looks like bad quality control
I needed a simple silent fan to put under my desktop notebook holder. I bought a USB -> 12V-4-pin reducer and screwed it in from the bottom.
The fan can be heard if the laptop is not ventilating itself and if it is quiet. When you open a window or listen to music, it blends in with its surroundings.
I recommend a dust filter protector to prevent dust from entering the inside of the laptop.
In normal operation, the sound of the driven air is louder than the fan itself
