Noctua at an affordable price, for those looking for higher quality fans with PWM control options, definitely worth considering. I'm a sucker for silence, and I also want to make sure I have a good airflow. I wasn't completely satisfied at first, with the fan tending to make a knocking sound at the lower speeds selected. It was better to let it run rather faster (above 50% power) to make it quieter. What I didn't find worthwhile at all was a profile with the option to turn it off completely. On and off is audible, of course.
But otherwise I have had several of these fans for many years, they have been running long term and often and so far without a single problem.
