I was very pleasantly surprised by this camera. I wanted something for travel, because even the best mobile has limits and I don't want to carry my Z8 with me. The Z50 II turned out to be a very mature device, which I did not expect at all. Focusing and shooting is almost like the Z8, the photos from it are excellent. I recommend both as a standalone device, but if you already have another Nikon and want either a backup or something cheaper for travel, this is a great choice.
Plus you have Z lenses, of which there is already a decent selection. Fullframes work on it and vice versa, lenses designed for this machine can be used on fullframes - only you have to take into account the reduced resolution due to cropping. But I got e.g. 12 mm glass for Z8
The only negatives are probably the Snapbridge mobile app which is unstable and disconnects, not much reliance on it, at least on Samsung phones. It's silly when traveling because Snapbridge is the best way to get GPS coordinates into photos. The second annoying thing is the battery - the Z50 II doesn't show a percentage, just a very rough estimate of remaining capacity. In addition, there was no charger with it, it is supposed to charge via USB-C. Fortunately, you can buy a charger. A second (and maybe even a third battery) is a must, I recommend the original.
