I'm writing this review after about 3/4 year of use, when I decided to give the D90 a go with lenses and all. I found myself using basically only the Z30 despite the lack of a viewfinder, which I personally miss all the time, and a certain compromise in ergonomics due to the much smaller body. After all, the image quality, size, automatic transfer of photos to your phone, and USB-C charging anywhere are a huge advantage for travel. If the Z30 had at least some sort of viewfinder built into the body and held its plus points against the Z50, it would probably be the ideal DX travel camera.
Very compact dimensions.
Excellent image and video quality. Great dynamic range, basically no noticeable noise up to ISO 3200 and even higher it's quite usable.
The 16-50 kit lens is a funnily small lens (it's collapsible, so the camera is really small) and draws well. For video zooming I would probably choose the 12-28 with motor drive.
The rotatable display pretty much eliminates the lack of a viewfinder, you get used to shooting differently from above the head, from the side, from the ground. You just don't automatically put it to your eye.
It feels better in my hand than Zfc. Strong grip on the right hand.
No viewfinder
The battery capacity is who knows what. Compensated by fast charging directly in the body from any powerbank.
