the big ailment is the power supply (camera r. in. 2021). The camera's eating like crazy. Practically, only the supplied cable with the "cigarette lighter" connector can be used and even then the mirror will occasionally switch off. Although the power input is listed as 2 A, any third-party USB port is unable to power the camera and it shuts down. Similarly, the USB ports of the car will not support the camera. Nowadays there is no other power supply in the driver's compartment of cars and so the camera is unusable unless you pull an extension cord, e.g. out of the trunk! Cameras from. r. in. 2023 have the factory option of USB-C power, so maybe this minus is irrelevant today
