Since there was no other choice in this price range and size, we have to be satisfied (and we are with a lot of things according to the pros).
Unfortunately Motorola doesn't supply its own apps, and only uses the original Google ones (contacts, gallery), which are full of bugs and limitations, so usability is severely limited.
Basically, instead of a smooth transition from my old phone, for 3 weeks now I've just been struggling to use it at least 80% the way I was used to, and I keep finding more and more things missing or not working.
Small size for the pocket, which was one of the requirements, and in this group around 6.3" almost the only option under 10 thousand.
Face (and fingerprint) unlocking works very well, even in lower light conditions.
Good motion features to turn on flashlight or camera.
Good battery life.
Resilience.
Maybe it's all Android's faults, but I consider it the fault of the manufacturer, i.e. Motorola, that it either doesn't make its versions user-friendly or doesn't put pressure on Android to be more configurable.
It is not possible to set the home page differently than the first one (one really doesn't understand why such simple and practical things are thrown away, even if they were there before, and even after thousands of complaints nobody brings it back).
The camera is linked ONLY to the Google Photos app, which cannot be changed even after installing another gallery (so the big mistake is that Motorola doesn't have its own gallery that just backs up to Photos, and/or that it doesn't have in the settings what gallery to use as the main one that can be changed).
After taking a photo and checking in Photos it shows "Processing" for a few seconds, but what that means is not clear, like it saves one photo for a few seconds (up to 5)?
There are no badges with numbers on the apps that say new messages have arrived and how many (just a light green dot that you can't see at all), and apparently you have to download another app for it (I just don't know which one to get it working again on another phone).
Again, the mistake that Motorola doesn't have its own contacts app that adheres to any standards and only uses Google's, which are really inadequate.
When importing from Huawei, it changed the contacts "according to itself", i.e. what was in the "title for" was switched to the name, etc. Google probably doesn't want to follow any standards and the manufacturers don't give a damn either.
In the contacts, search them with accents, which delays, for example, before. "sas" searched for both Saskia and Saskia, now you have to type "sas" or "sas" and it will only find one of them. In contacts, "Organization" is not displayed and it cannot be set, so you don't know who it is by name.
You can't export a contact other than as a file, before you could send it as text.
I was happy that I could set only a pure "desktop color" without all those images and nonsense at the beginning, but after the update to Android 15 they cancelled it again, why?
The lock screen is sometimes displayed as it should, sometimes somehow differently where there is no facial recognition (it looks like the screensaver, the clock is elsewhere but that's off), and nowhere have I found a setting that does this
Overall, the setup is hell, which is probably Android's problem again.

A precision-made phone. There is nothing to complain about the workmanship. The included cover does slip in the hands (worse than a silicone case), but it covers all protruding lenses well. There is no risk of scratching them when they are placed on the table. How's he shooting? I don't know - for me it's more important how the phone handles audio than how it takes pictures. I have other devices for great photos, so I'm not rating this one. It is one of the few (not the only) to support Hi-res audio including wireless transmission. Using the correct player and hardware(! ). However, the sound quality is very good despite the built-in speakers. That really surprised me, considering their size. The built-in Dolby and equalizers strike me as more of a sound destroyer. The sound can maintain its quality even with Blutooth wireless transmission (Flac, etc. again with the appropriate app). But here's where the problem arises, which once Mototrola fixes it, I'll buy again. See cons. What makes the phone quite exceptional is the full Always-on display feature, which doesn't disappear into a black screen after a few minutes. A rarity today, especially in this price range. However, its setup is confusing. When switching between the lock screen and Always-on, a picture flashes with a photo of the album that is currently in the audio player (any audio player). Why? Uncomfortable when locking the phone especially in the dark. Cannot be deactivated. Some other home screen settings are also strange. For example, "Control notifications and music" and the "Interactive display" menu. I didn't get it, but maybe it's a mistake on my part. Moto Gestures are great. Can't set which screen is home (probably an android problem, I don't know). I might have a slightly larger display, just that it mostly lacks always-on (other Motorola EDGE), hi-res audio. Škoda.
precision workmanship.
Display, a full-fledged Always-on not disappearing after a few minutes into a black screen that needs to be manually woken up to see info on whether any grain has arrived (for me a basic feature for a good phone serving the user - not the other way around),
smaller size of the phone (but for me rather negative)
Hi-res audio support and really good sound from vests. speakers
Personalise Moto gesture control
many variations of the icon grid layout on the desktop
unlocking faces does not cancel the notifications lock screen
buttons can be assigned secondary functions
such gadgets as tapping the back of the phone can trigger the selected function. Shaking the phone then maybe the camera, or flashlight, etc.
Confused Always-on and lock screen settings, some of the pulls (Control notifications and music) don't do anything in my opinion - the player widget (of any kind) is displayed anyway. The individualization of the color system has its flaws (but that can be overcome).
the display is smaller in stature, but it may suit some people. It's harder for me to read.
a major thing I'd recommend Motorola fix: When connected to any (! ) audio device via Bluetooth, both volume buttons start to malfunction. They respond to every press, but the volume change is only made every second press of the button. Every first press does nothing (volume correction is missing). Changing the volume thus requires pressing the button twice and is very jumpy. One level of amplification is simply not done.
I can't choose which desktop screen I want as my home screen. From the home screen, you can only scroll to the right.
