Bought for my son, works so far. You can't expect miracles, but it's durable, the battery lasts decently and the apps work as they should.

bought for a gentleman (65 years old). They don't need sw etc. It's a very nice phone for the money and considering the outgoing xiaomi redmi 4x I'm thinking about it too .
isn't as hard as I thought!
fits in the hand although for children and small hands of women is not completely .
I'm comparing with the samsung A52s 5G and considering the price the pros outweigh
of course it's not FHD amoled .
processing perfect, yet it is not iphone or samsung.

Robust solid construction.
Perfect sound.
Great battery life.
In my case, I end up with a loop, I hang the phone in a visible place.
Price/performance ratio.
It meets exactly what I expected from a durable phone.
Perfect for me.
A little extra weight and some extra mm, tax resistant construction.

The new Motorola Defy is quite a surprise. After reading reviews on Czech and foreign forums, I didn' t expect much, maybe just waterproofness. The reality mostly pleasantly surprised me. So far we' re just getting to know each other, so it' s possible that some flies will appear over time, but so far so good. I would like to point out that I am not a completely undemanding user. I mainly use Samsung “S“ series, but the price policy of this manufacturer does not suit me at the moment. Such a small example: The S21 FE is more expensive than the pre-sale S21, with the price going up rather than down. But back to Defy. I owned its predecessor years ago, which wasn' t nearly as durable. The only advantage was the size - or rather the smallness. This brings me to the main disadvantage of this Defy. It' s too big. When reading lying down, it all sorts of tips and falls. Holding it between your thumb and middle finger and flipping through the pages with your index finger is almost a circus performance. I note that I do not have hands like a young lady, rather the opposite. But I can hold a chainsaw better than this phone. But when I think of the Japanese with their giant phones, Defy still seems normal to me (even if I grind my teeth a little. ) I don' t mind the slightly higher weight. The second drawback is relatively slow charging. Defy is best charged with the supplied 20 W charger, or with another one with a green USB connector, but even then it takes more than two hours to fully charge. So much for the more fundamental negatives, and now for the positives. The camera takes decent photos, and I am a fairly demanding photographer who has already had an exhibition. Even the macro is nice, albeit with a lower resolution. Defy takes pictures in the dark or at night. If you are among the lovers of abstractions (for which you probably spend a lot of money, ) you will be delighted. Otherwise, no. The sound of the phone is perfectly fine, both from the handset and from the speaker. He doesn' t roar like a tiger, but he doesn' t whisper either. it can simply be used even on a busy street. I was surprised by the clarity of the voice, which is quite unusual. The vibrations are rather stronger, which is great. You can download the original application of the good old radio to your phone. So she is already on the phone, but the radio is not activated, hence this procedure. The FM radio has both RDS and radio text, which is also not a very common phenomenon. Any wired headphones are required for listening, which you have to plug in properly or the radio won' t start. I was a little worried about the display because the reviews said it was miserable. I probably have a better series because I don' t register anything like strong darkening when viewed from the side. The image is still usable even when tilted, although of course it blurs a bit. The backlight is not the brightest, but that doesn' t really matter. The biggest surprise of this phone is the TRANSREFLECTIVE DISPLAY. I have not read about this anywhere in the world, so you are probably reading it here for the first time. All of you who have no idea what it is, know that NOKIA used to put such displays in their more expensive phones. The way it works is that when the sun shines on it, the colors change somewhat, but the writing becomes perfectly legible. In direct sunlight, it is completely irrelevant how strong your backlight is. The sun always wins. However, this type of display uses the power of the sun' s rays for better readability. Responses to the touch are absolutely fine, without skipping. Of course, the vibration haptic response could be faster, but it is still within the limits of pleasantness and usefulness. The display reader on the back is quite small, but before long you will be hitting without mistakes. It is almost 100% reliable on the first good one. However, I would prefer a reader on the side, which would not be a problem given the dimensions of the phone. Microphone sensitivity is great despite the need for a sealing membrane. You can talk from one, ten, twenty centimeters, the volume is still great. Also tested on a recorder. The phone' s menu is slightly quirky in some ways, which Motorola has always been. It' s okay though, you' ll get your way eventually. After all, it' s classic and fairly clean Android 11, so you' ll find most things where you' re used to. Defy even has a few original gadgets. The phone' s responses have a barely noticeable delay, which does not depress me in any way. It' s definitely not a snail. I miss waking up and putting my phone to sleep by tapping the screen. So now I wake up either by picking up or by touching the reader on my back. I put it to sleep by pressing the power button, which has adequate resistance, but it could easily be more recessed. We will see how my coexistence with Defy will develop further. For now we are still getting to know each other. I' m already not afraid to recommend this phone to users who, like me, prefer durability to high-end parameters.
