I strongly caution everyone against buying and using this clever extension cord. I placed it in the garage, which is part of the house, to connect the outdoor Christmas lights to it so I could control it from my phone. For a week the device worked normally, then we started to notice that the outdoor lighting was dimly lit or flickering even when the socket was switched off. switching on/off again and disconnecting and connecting all circuits sequentially did not help. I have claimed the goods. Unfortunately, the new piece also started to show the same fault the same day, so the extension is leaking electricity to the end devices even when switched off, which is not only undesirable, but also potentially very dangerous. I have therefore called on Alza to remove the product and am considering filing a complaint with the CTIA.
