Everything works great the first time you plug it in, the only blemish is the input volume settings. As a couple of people have written before me, anything between 1-9 has no effect on volume, then between 9-10 it's about hundredths of a millimeter where the volume skyrockets. I wish they'd release an fw update that would fix it.

Cheap and decent sound card not only for home use. The card is suitable both for music creation thanks to the large package of free programs that come with the card (you need to register and download what you need) and for digitizing audio from external sources that have audio output (line out). It works well with Adacity, Ashampoo recorder and even Moo0. Excellent is also prg. MPC Beat which is part of the sw package download. There is also a driver for windows xp-11 that works well and works with ASIO.
