The brake is stiffer but... it's just right for fast cars as it should be... very responsive at higher speeds and gentle. It is important to fix them firmly (roll a small piece of carpet on the floor and glue it with gaff) then the brake reacts as it should for strong cars. Sensitive soft but still stiffer for smaller children. For the rest of us, slow cars are like a brake without a booster and I understand the comments. For strong cars this is an essential reason otherwise you cannot brake gently at high speeds with a soft brake. I wouldn't change the pedal after it's firmly attached. The difference from a real brake is significant... Otherwise it's like a real car. Wonderful!
