The drawbacks I’ve mentioned are probably the only minor flaws in an otherwise perfect toy. I waited two years to be able to buy my son a Duplo train set, and it’s now one of his favourite toys. I really enjoy it too, and I’m on the lookout for extra sets, because you can never have enough tracks.
It runs both on and off the tracks

Getting the train moving requires quite a bit of force, so if a child pushes it along on a floating mat, the tracks slide across the floor along with the train. It takes practice.
The train is switched on using the green button on the underside of the chassis, which is situated right next to the colour sensor. So when you press the button, you’ll immediately feel quite a strong blast of air in your eyes. That’s happened to me a few times, so I suppose it’s happened to the child as well.
It turns off after half a lap, I set the app to not turn off at all and it still turns off and the app is again set all as at the beginning, probably the wrong piece, I will complain.

The train has an adjustable control element, different sounds when it passes - adjustable in the application, this is what my son likes the most.
I appreciate that in "inactivity" - it is left on, walks alone on the road and the child has run off somewhere - it turns off sooner, in about 5-7 minutes. So it wastes batteries.
